Roundup: Sunken barge stops flooding / Argent Trust’s new office / Cane’s opens in Walker

Dam: While officials worked Sunday to restore power and remove fallen trees in Assumption Parish, one hazard was notably absent as the storm pushed north: flooding. Footprint: Argent Trust Company has opened an office in Baton Rouge, giving the Ruston-based financial services group a presence in 31 markets across 12 Southern states. Trust officers David Thibodeaux and Dominique Richard will focus on growing Argent’s presence throughout the Baton Rouge area.

For the caniacs: Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will open its 66th Louisiana restaurant and first in Walker on Tuesday. The Livingston Parish location is a prototype for a new restaurant design with more seating, outdoor dining spaces and graphics “inspired by the local community,” says CEO Todd Graves in a company announcement.
