Roundup: New self-storage facility owners / Mississippi River flood warning / LSU marijuana squabble

    New ownership: Baton Rouge-based Appletree Storage sold its self-storage facility on Foster Drive, near the Hooper Road intersection, for $1.15 million to Colorado-based Red Dot Storage, according to sales documents. The Foster location is Red Dot’s first storage facility in Baton Rouge and its 14th in Louisiana.

    Flood warning: The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for New Orleans Monday as the Mississippi River continues to rise, The Daily Advertiser reports. The river is forecast to reach the 17-foot flood stage at New Orleans Saturday and remain there at least two weeks. Read the full story.

    Thanks, but no thanks: After giving LSU AgCenter the OK to move cannabis plants into its main growing facility, LDAF stopped short of issuing a permit for full operation, The News Star reports.
