Patient Plus Urgent Care has opened its sixth location in the Capital Region, doubling the number of clinics the company operated at the beginning of 2019.
Patient Plus Urgent Care’s 3,600-square-foot Broadmoor location opened last week on Florida Boulevard, near the Hi Nabor Supermarket and Planet Fitness Center. The company is holding a ribbon cutting on Tuesday morning.
“This is the third clinic we’ve opened this year,” says CEO Dr. Rubin Patel in a prepared statement, “and we look forward to providing fast, friendly and affordable health care through our convenient neighborhood locations.”
Previously, Patel has told Daily Report that the goal is to open clinics near neighborhoods in the city lacking urgent care services. This year, the urgent care provider opened clinics on Plank Road and on Old Jefferson Highway in Prairieville—the first outside of Baton Rouge.
A representative of the company was unable to be reached for more information before this morning’s deadline.
The first Patient Plus opened in 2016 in Mid City, with subsequent locations opening in the Bocage and Southdowns areas.
