ADVICE TO MY YOUNGER SELF
Keep doing what you are doing. The many hours of hard work and grind does pay off.
BOOK THAT MADE AN IMPACT
Insanely Simple: The Obsession That Drives Apple, by Ken Segall. You get to get into the mind of Steve Jobs and how he operated his famous marketing campaigns.
BEST BUSINESS ADVICE I’VE RECEIVED
My dad taught me and showed me through his actions the true value of integrity. His word was and is always his honor. The same values Rose and I teach to our boys.
BUSINESS ADVICE I SHARE
It is very important especially in the beginning of your career to go all in. You need to put in the work effort in to get the long-term reward. Take long-term goals and break them down into smaller, bite-sized goals and track your progress.
PODCAST I RECOMMEND
“Founders Podcast,” hosted by David Senra. He breaks down biographies of iconic business leaders.

EMBARASSING MOMENT
When I was a young professional, I joined a nonprofit organization the week before the president of the local organization had to make a speech in front of 60 parents. The president got into a car accident on the way. So I had to give a speech about an organization I just joined and did not know much about. I used a lot of buzzwords like ‘community service’ and ‘helping others’—it was not good.
HOW I INSPIRE MY TEAM
I send them inspirational quotes, and after every meeting, I leave with a cascading message to stress the importance of what we do for our clients and the difference we are making in their lives.

MOTIVATIONAL MUSIC
“Yellow Ledbetter,” by Pearl Jam; “So Far Away,” by Carole King
BIGGEST RISK I’VE EVER TAKEN
Starting Olivier Group in 2002 with a credit card and $12 million in assets under my management. The outcome 22 years later is a team of over 10 professionals and managing assets of $480 million.
