Ann Edelman is Vice President of Public Relations and Media at Zehnder Communications. Over the past 35 years, she has accumulated an extraordinarily diverse client résumé involving virtually every aspect of paid and earned media. She focuses on top-level account strategy, media relations and crisis communications, while serving as an invaluable resource for clients in a wide variety of industries and PR applications.
Ann’s experience includes both sides of the media desk. She spent several years as operations manager for a top-rated news-talk radio station and knows firsthand the news media’s needs and expectations.
Her role in overseeing Zehnder’s PR and media departments reflects the agency’s integration of paid and earned media in an increasingly digital environment. The arrangement also offers clients the benefit of Ann’s expertise in both areas.
In recent years, she has serviced clients in the fields of legal, tourism, hospitality, health care, quick-service restaurant, insurance, banking, oil and gas, and hospice care, among others.
Clients regularly seek Ann’s expertise when responding to tough-news scenarios like workplace accidents, government regulatory violations, wrongdoing by company executives, homicide and criminal cases, as well as high-profile litigation.
Her crisis communications experience includes working with an NFL franchise and NBC’s cancelled coverage of the 2015 Miss USA Pageant. She has worked extensively with disaster-related communications, including Louisiana’s historic flooding in 2016, the 2010 BP oil spill and several Gulf Coast hurricanes.
Ann holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Her many industry honors include national promotion awards on behalf of Pepsi-Cola USA and multiple Telly awards.
