An investor from Houma purchased a small three-business retail center and neighboring clothing store on Bluebonnet Boulevard between Perkins and Highland roads for $1.395 million in a sale that closed Tuesday.

DCM Investments, whose sole member is Frank McNabb, bought the property from Darla Partners LLC, represented by attorney Stephen McCollister, according to sale documents.

Brent Rhodes, a broker with Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate, represented both the buyer and seller.

Rhodes says McNabb purchased the properties at 8645 and 8655 Bluebonnet Blvd. as investments. The four businesses in the buildings—Banbury Cross Children’s Clothing Store, Java Mama coffee shop, Salon du Sud and The Bar Method—are all on extended leases.

On or around Feb. 1, McNabb will begin some cosmetic upgrades to the property, including restriping the parking lot, and will make some tweaks to two hot water heaters.

Darla Partners purchased the 10,000-square-foot property in March 2014 for $1.35 million from EHS Development.
