The Super 8 hotel at 10451 Reiger Road, just off Interstate 10 at the Siegen Lane intersection, has traded hands for $3.2 million.
AASTHA LLC, whose registered agent is Anilkumar Patel, purchased the hotel from Dakshaben and Anilkumar D. Desai, according to sales documents filed today with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court.
The hotel will remain a Super 8 under the new owner, says Alay Patel, whose family also owns and operates the Days Inn at 10245 Airline Highway, as well as the Quality Inn and Suites at 1755 O’Neal Lane.
“The old owner kept the hotel in pretty good shape, so we’re just going through a punch list right now to bring everything up to date,” Patel says. “After that we’re also going to install a kiosk in the lobby.”
The hotel, which includes 67 rooms, a swimming pool, a business center and a laundromat, is located on a roughly 1.9-acre tract of land. It is the second hotel on Reiger Road to be sold in recent months.
In April, The Hampton Inn and Suites at 11271 Reiger Road was sold for $9.65 million. The buyer in that deal was Baton Rouge HPA, a limited liability company owned by Texas-based investor William G. Copeland.
