Ruth’s Chris receiving exterior facelift

The exterior of Ruth’s Chris Steak House is being remodeled to go along with recent upgrades to the restaurant interior. The restaurant will feature stucco on the outside, along with shutters, gas lanterns and an awning from the front door to the valet, says Chris Bachman, general manager of Ruth’s Chris. “We’re trying to keep things fresh,” says Bachman, noting that the outside of the popular steakhouse hasn’t been changed since it opened in the early 1980s. The work should be competed in five or six weeks, just in time for the holidays. This will complete a $250,000 renovation of Ruth’s Chris, which also saw the restaurant refurbishing woodwork, replacing wallpaper and ceiling tiles, and overhauling the restrooms.—Timothy Boone
