Another Baton Rouge chef is about to hit the small screen.
Chef Gino Sclafani, of popular Baton Rouge eatery Ruffino’s, will be featured on the FYI Network’s Food Factory show next Thursday, March 31, at 11 a.m., according to a news release.
Sclafani prepared Ruffino’s signature Shrimp Corn Dogs during the shooting of the show’s “Plane Sailing” episode. Food Factory takes a look behind the scenes at “the weird and wonderful processes that produce everyone’s favorite foods,” according to the show’s website.
FYI is an American cable network operated by A&E Networks. Its properties include A&E, the History Channel and Lifetime.
A number of other Baton Rouge eateries have been featured recently on national TV shows. Chef Michael Symon, a Food Network star, visited City Pork Brasserie & Bar and Bistro Byronz in recent months to film episodes of his show, Burgers, Brew and ’Que.
Local food extraordinaire Jay Ducote finished as a runner-up on the most recent season of Food Network Star, and local nine-year-old Avery Kyle finished runner-up in the latest season of MasterChef Junior.
