Our Lady of the Lake has purchased a former restaurant space on Burbank Drive, near the intersection of Gardere Lane, on which the hospital plans to build a new clinic. Hospital spokeswoman Kelly Zimmerman says a timeline on the clinic development and other details are not yet available.

“We currently have more than 40 clinic locations throughout the Baton Rouge area, and we are planning to use this building for an additional clinic,” she says in an email to Daily Report. “We are in the beginning planning stages and do not have an anticipated opening date at this time.”

Sale documents show OLOL paid $850,000 for the building at 9405 Burbank Drive, which was formerly home to J&C Buffet. The building sits on a roughly 1.5 acre-lot with about 200 feet of frontage on Burbank. The seller was Kemah Enterprises Inc., represented by its president, Simmit S. Bankston.
