Somewhat accessible: The LSU Student Health Center will partially reopen today. According to the university, access to the building is limited on the southwest and northwest entrances. And while Mental Health and Wellness services will be open and operational, the center’s medical clinic is not open to patients. A fire broke out at the LSU Student Health Center late last Thursday. Preliminary estimates put the cost of damages to the building at approximately $1.7 million. Restoration and cleanup is ongoing. LSU has more details.

Seized: Once planned to be developed into a site for parks, hotels and riverfront entertainment, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office has seized and intends to sell at auction the site that was planned to be the $600 million River Park development. The sheriff’s office seized the 36-acre site on April 7 to satisfy an estimated $9.8 million claim, plus interest and court costs, by First National NBC Bank, according to court documents. The public auction is set for 10 a.m. on June 29 in the lobby of City Hall, 222 St. Louis St.

Adding on: Monroe-base CenturyLink Inc. has acquired ElasticBox, a multi-cloud application management service startup with offices in San Francisco and Madrid. CenturyLink announced the acquisition this morning. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. Aamir Hussain, CenturyLink’s chief technology officer, says the acquisition of ElasticBox strengthens and enhances the company’s capability to develop and deploy multi-cloud services. ElasticBox provides support services to more than 12 different cloud providers including IBM’s SoftLayer, Amazon Web and Microsoft Azure. It recently added support for CenturyLink Cloud and feature support for Google Compute Engine.
