Radio host to get honor from YWCA: Jim Engster, president of the Louisiana Radio Network and host of a WRKF talk show, will receive the YWCA Greater Baton Rouge’s 18th annual Racial Justice Award. How safe are the streets? The city-parish Planning Commission has launched a website that lets people measure how safe it is to bike around town, instead of driving a car. The website at brgov.com/bikebr uses Google Maps to measure the “bikeability index” of a route. Mayor Kip Holden says, to his knowledge, Baton Rouge is the first community in the country to put this service online.
