Grey Mullins, founder and principal of Grey Mullins Commercial Properties, has purchased a 5,000-square-foot building in the Highland Business Park on Petroleum Drive, just off Highland Road, for $550,000.

The building, at 18369 Petroleum Drive, is located across Highland Road from Ruffino’s restaurant, about a half mile from Interstate 10. Mullins says he will soon offer the building for lease. The building, which is currently vacant, features 20 offices and a lobby and reception area, as well as a conference room, four bathrooms and about 200 square feet of storage area.

“It’s just a really good building in a really good area,” Mullins says of his interest in the property. “That entire area along Highland near I-10 and the Country Club of Louisiana is tremendous, and there are a lot of professionals who want to work near their homes, and there is a lack of office space.”

Mullins purchased the building from Eagle Environmental Services Inc., represented by president Kevin Don Starkey. Mullins says Eagle Environment formerly occupied the building, but has vacated it and consolidated its operations in a neighboring building.

“Most of the buildings in that park are fairly new and in good shape,” Mullins says. “So we’ll have it on the market very soon.”
