Nicole Pourciaux has been promoted to junior commercial credit analyst and bank officer for MidSouth Bank. In her new role, Pourciaux assists the bank’s loan officers throughout the state, analyzes commercial loan requests and notes any deviations from its commercial loan policy. She has been with MidSouth Bank for five years.
Janice Savoie has been promoted from assistant vice president and regional retail manager to vice president of MidSouth Bank. Savoie oversees daily operations and is responsible for the growth of the bank’s 14 locations in its south, east and central rural markets. She also serves as the bank’s senior housing liaison. Savoie has more than 21 years’ experience in the banking industry and has been with MidSouth Bank since August 2007.
Loretta Barber has been promoted to assistant vice president for account services for the Bank of Zachary. Barber previously served as account service supervisor, and she has been with the bank for 21 years.
Larry Bellard has been promoted to chief financial officer for the Bank of Zachary. Bellard previously served as vice president, and he has been with the bank for 11 years.
Fonda Funderburk has been promoted to assistant vice president and main office manager for the Bank of Zachary. Funderburk previously served as a consumer loan officer, and she has been with the bank for 27 years.
Christopher D’Elia has been named dean of LSU’s School of the Coast & Environment, to begin July 1. D’Elia currently serves as regional associate vice chancellor for academic affairs, research and graduate studies, director of the International Ocean Institute-USA and professor of environmental science and policy and of marine sciences at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
Laurence Kaptain has been appointed dean of LSU’s College of Music & Dramatic Arts, to begin July 1. Kaptain currently serves as dean and professor at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Va.
Richard Koubek has been appointed dean of LSU’s College of Engineering, to begin June 1. Koubek currently serves as professor and head of the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering at Penn State.
Frederick Helmcke, a cardiologist with the LSU Health System, has joined the Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Independence to provide general cardiology services to adult patients. Helmcke also is the director of echocardiography and an assistant professor at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Neeraj Jaim, a cardiologist with the LSU Health System, has joined the Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Independence to provide general cardiology services to adult patients. Jaim also is the director of cardiology fellowship and an assistant professor of medicine at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Vijayendra Jaligam, a cardiologist with the LSU Health System, has joined the Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Independence to provide general cardiology services to adult patients. Jaligam also is an instructor of clinical medicine at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Randy Strother has been named executive chef of Baton Rouge General’s Nutritional Care Services. Strother oversees dietary and nutritional care services, catering, Subway and coffee shops at the General’s Mid City and Bluebonnet locations. Strother is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and has 16 years of culinary experience.
Katie Crochet has been named payroll audit/billing manager for LUBA Workers’ Comp. Crochet previously served as accounting manager for LUBA. In her new role, she will oversee and manage the payroll audit/billing department.
