Months into its final phase of development, Highland Park Marketplace is adding three new tenants to its shopping center at the corner of Highland Road and Old Perkins Road East: Walls Décor & More Interiors, AR Workshop and Sync Wellness.
All are moving into Building 400, on which developers broke ground in November. Once complete, the building will feature eight suites totaling 16,450 square feet.
The building will be anchored by Walls Décor & More Interiors, which will occupy 3,998 square feet in Suite 402. The family-owned business has offered interior design services in Prairieville since 1996, specializing in custom window treatments.
In addition to the main anchor, two other businesses will operate out of the same suite, with all three effectively acting as one anchor tenant: The Hardware Studio, which Walls Décor & More Interiors owner Mia Townsend opened in 2018, and The Local Lagniappe Shoppe, a home goods store owned by Krista Dubroc. All three businesses will vacate the five units they currently occupy in Perkins Plaza in Prairieville to join Highland Park Marketplace.
“We’re ready for a move—just to a different, better location with a newer building,” Townsend previously told Daily Report.
Meanwhile, a national tenant—AR Workshop—will move into Suite 406, marking the concept’s first location in Louisiana. The boutique Do-It-Yourself studio allows guests to create their own home décor items “with a fun, party twist,” according to local owner Kelly Webster in a prepared statement.
Going into Suite 403 is Sync Wellness, a Prairieville-based store that bills itself as “a concierge wellness consultancy and professional grade supplement provider.” It will be run by founder and lead pharmacist Angie Huff, an expert in holistic supplement therapy with more than 12 years of experience.
Developer Brian Campbell Jr. says construction is still expected to be completed by the summer. In the meantime, he and Will Chadwick of Elifin Realty, who handles leasing for the center, are continuing to sign tenants. Chadwick says a few suites remain available and notes interest is high.
Highland Park Marketplace is anchored by Alexander’s Highland Market. The development also features Burgersmith, Pilates Plus, Mera Salon Suites, Bengals & Bandits and Luxe Clothing Shoes Accessories, among other tenants.
