Group led by Stirling Properties acquires building in United Plaza Office Park

A group of local investors led by Stirling Properties has acquired the three-story, 52,606-square-foot United Plaza VIII building at 8641 United Plaza Blvd. The building is one of a dozen in the 75-acre United Plaza Office Park just off Essen Lane near Interstate 12. The acquisition brings to four the number of buildings in the office park owned by the investment group fronted by Stirling, which announced the deal today. Stirling, which also manages the park and leases space within it, says the building was constructed in 1993 and is currently 91% occupied. A purchase price for the building was not disclosed. The seller was Wink United Plaza LLC, whose registered agent is Michael H. Wink of New Orleans, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State. “Our acquisition team seized a tremendous opportunity in a market that we know to be a strong performer,” says Stirling Executive Vice President Grady Brame in a prepared statement. “The acquisition of United Plaza VIII is an excellent investment for the building ownership group and demonstrates Stirling’s commitment to Baton Rouge and our belief in the area’s future growth.” The group collectively owns about 500,000 square feet of space in the office park total, including United Plaza buildings I, II and XII.
