As Baton Rouge-based Go Auto Insurance prepares to expand aggressively its reach outside of Louisiana this year, the company also is settling into its new headquarters on Highlandia Drive.
“We’ve been here about a week and a half now,” says Greg Tramontin, the insurer’s founder and president/CEO. “We’ve got a little over 11,000 square feet of space here and an option on another 22,000, so it gives us an anchor here that we can expand upon.”
Go Auto bought the Suite A office condo at 533 Highlandia Drive for $1,821,500 from R & D Property Development LLC, which has Donnie Jarreau and Randy Poche as its registered officers.
Go Auto had been headquartered at offices in the Bon Carré Business Center on Florida Boulevard since the company was founded five years ago. Since then, the company has established 48 area auto insurance sales offices. Tramontin expects the company, which employs about 200 people, to write about $75 million of policies this year.
“In 2015 we have aggressive plans to move into Nevada and Mississippi, they’ll be first, and then also Illinois, Ohio and Alabama,” he says. “We’ve just grown Go Auto to the point where we’re really able to look at other states to sell services there and we’re going to make that push this year.”
