A subsidiary of a Darden Restaurants, owner of the Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse and other brands, has purchased the former Logan’s Roadhouse building and parcel at the Mall of Louisiana.

Rare Hospitality International Inc. bought the restaurant on Bluebonnet Blvd.—near the Sears Auto Center—from MOL Holding Company, owned by Mall of Louisiana parent General Growth Properties.

The price is listed as $10, cash in hand paid, and other good and valuable considerations, according to documents filed with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court. The parties signed off on the deal last week.

The new owner plans to develop a restaurant at the site, says Jake Wilson, Mall of Louisiana general manager.

The Logan’s near the Mall of Louisiana closed in August 2016. It was one of 21 locations to close after the chain filed for bankruptcy.
