Tuesday: The Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge Parish welcomes Central Mayor Jr. Shelton, who will deliver the State of the City of Central address at its monthly meeting at Café Américain, 7521 Jefferson Highway. Thursday: The Baton Rouge Area Foundation hosts an open house on the ongoing master planning effort for the rehabilitation and preservation of the LSU lakes. The meeting is set for 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lod Cook Alumni Center, 3838 W. Lakeshore Drive.
