The Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group will open a new restaurant at Heritage Plaza in Metairie, taking over the space that is currently home to Chops Bistro and Martini Bar. According to a statement from Stewart Development, which manages the 18-floor building at 111 Veterans Memorial Blvd., the new restaurant, Heritage Grill, will open for lunch March 21. Chops will remain open through lunch on Thursday. Chops has been in the Heritage Plaza building for five years. It’s operated by the Messina-Korndorffer Restaurant Group, which Stewart says will instead focus its energy on its Chateau Coffee Cafe locations in New Orleans and in Kenner.
