Baton Rouge continues to be one of the lowest-ranking cities in the country when it comes to laws and policies supporting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, according to the second annual Municipal Equality Index released today by the Human Rights Campaign. The LGBT advocacy group gave Baton Rouge only two points out of a possible 100 in last year’s inaugural survey. And though Baton Rouge saw it’s overall score more than triple to a 7, the city has one of the lowest scores of any on the list. With an overall 91 score, New Orleans fares well on the ranking, while the only other Louisiana city on the list—Shreveport—scored a 16.
