As you start to dip your toes back into typical summertime activities, let’s rank their riskiness. Small outdoor gatherings like BBQs and crawfish boils are a pretty low risk if you’re with another family who’s been playing it safe and you don’t get carried away with drinking, which can throw social distancing out the window. For pool time, the risk is not the water itself, but the exposure to people in and near the water. It’s especially tough with kids who could struggle to keep a safe distance from others. Camping is a low risk but watch for communal areas like restrooms and picnic areas.
