Two local leadership and executive coaches are bringing Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead workshop to Baton Rouge.
Dicharry, who became certified to facilitate the program just before the pandemic, says this program goes deeper than a lot of traditional leadership development programs, moving beyond emotional intelligence and into underlying expectations and motives that a leader may not be aware they have. The program also addresses shame and vulnerability in leadership.
“The program gives us tools to step into hard conversations while being respectful and valuing of other people as well as ourselves,” Dicharry says
Eicher, who has been incorporating Brown’s research into her own consulting for nearly a decade, says she was drawn to Brown’s work because it’s backed by research and data about leadership, teams and individuals on teams.
“The reason I identify with her is that she’s direct, authentic and raw,” Eicher says. “She calls it like it is and that’s the style I use with my groups and clients.”
The two-day workshop will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 15-16 at Holiday Inn Express & Suites—Baton Rouge East, off Siegen Lane. Tickets start at $850. Check out the event page to learn more and register for the event.
Because of the pandemic and the experiential nature of the program, the two-day workshop is being limited to 32 seats. If the event proves popular, though, Dicharry and Eicher plan to host future workshops.
