Who’s a game changer for community health? Nominate them.

Great health care doesn’t stop at the clinic door. Across the Capital Region, health care organizations and professionals are showing up in neighborhoods, schools and community centers — addressing the barriers that keep people from getting the care they need and improving quality of life in ways that don’t always show up in a patient chart.

The Community Impact category in Business Report‘s inaugural Excellence in Health Care Awards recognizes those efforts. This category is for health care–led initiatives that have delivered meaningful, lasting benefit to the broader Capital Region — through expanded access, health education, applied research or other work that produces measurable results not just for individual patients, but for the community as a whole.

The Excellence in Health Care Awards will honor leaders across seven categories: Outstanding Health Care Executive, Emerging Health Care Leader, Outstanding Practitioner, Outstanding Health Organization, Achievement in Innovation, Lifetime Achievement and Community Impact.

Nominations are open to individuals and organizations making a measurable impact within the Capital Region’s health care ecosystem, including hospitals and clinics, private practices, research institutions, public health agencies and community-based initiatives. An independent selection panel of respected health care professionals will evaluate all nominations.

Finalists and honorees will be featured in the August edition of Business Report and recognized at a formal dinner and awards ceremony on Aug. 12 at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge.

Nominations are open through April 17. Learn more and submit a nomination here.
