MONDAY — MidSouth Bank will hold a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. at its Corporate Boulevard branch. The bank is holding the meetings to let small business owners know it is proactively lending money in order to stimulate the economy. MidSouth recently sold $20 million worth of shares to the U.S. Treasury as part of the federal financial bailout plan.

THURSDAY — The DOTD will discuss Interstate 12 widening during a public meeting a 7:30 p.m. at Southside Junior High in Denham Springs. The meeting is designed to give the details of the $100 million project, which will add two lanes to the interstate from Range Avenue to O’Neal Lane.
