Perimenopause is a transitional phase that leads up to the end of your reproductive years. It can include some of the traditional menopause symptoms like hot flashes and irregular periods, but there are other changes to look out for as well. These can be anything from sleep problems to higher cholesterol, and it’s due to your body producing less estrogen. These hormone changes can also result in hair loss and dry eyes. Many of these perimenopause symptoms can be alleviated with regular exercise, diet changes or medication. Talk to your doctor about any changes you experience to find out more about your options.
