House committee advances bill aimed at easing state’s insurance crisis 

The House Appropriations Committee advanced a bill today to pour $45 million from state surplus funds into the Insure Louisiana Fund after pleas from Republican Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon, State Rep. Timothy Kerner, R-Lafitte, and industry advocates.
