Roundup: Sears opening stores / House Speaker injured / Cannabis festival

    Don’t call it a comeback: After its journey through bankruptcy, Sears is getting ready to open its first batch of smaller stores focusing on appliances, mattresses and home services.     Owch: Louisiana House Speaker Taylor Barras sustained a broken wrist and fractured arm after falling from a ladder while trimming trees at his Acadiana home last weekend, USA Today reports. “It’s my gavel hand; my bill-signing hand,” Barras says. “I’m hoping (House Clerk Butch Speer) can help me master a left-handed signature.” Barras’ injury comes on the eve of the Legislative Session that begins Monday.     What?: The NOLA Cannabis Festival is scheduled for April 20 in Washington Square Park in the Marigny neighborhood April 20 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., NOLA.com reports, citing a posting on the Eventbrite ticket sales website.
