Roundup: LSU professor on ‘Stranger Things’ / Edwards’ RV tour / Pennington study 

    Hollywood: LSU professor and actor, Joe Chrest, is continuing his role in the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things 3,” WBRZ-TV reports. Chrest plays Ted Wheeler, the father of one of the main characters, Mike Wheeler. In the real world, he serves as an adjunct professor at the LSU School of Theatre. The third season of ‘Stranger Things’ premiered on Netflix this week. Read the full story.   

    On parade: Gov. John Bel Edwards is shifting attention to his re-election campaign, traveling the state to meet with teachers and veterans and planning a statewide RV tour that begins Saturday. He’ll start in Tangipahoa Parish at an event hall in his hometown of Amite. Additional stops are planned Monday in New Orleans, Tuesday in Lafayette and Lake Charles, Wednesday in Alexandria and Shreveport, and Thursday in Monroe.     Pound for pound: A recent study from Pennington Biomedical Research Center was published last month in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and featured in the New York Times this week. Researchers in Baton Rouge and at other institutions looked at the metabolic changes that happened to a group of inactive people who started exercising. The study found that as people exercised more, they also ate more, negating any weight loss. Read the full story.
