‘225 Dine:’ MJ’s Cafe hungry for growth

After relocating to White Star Market with a revamped menu last year, MJ’s Cafe owner Mary-Brennan Faucheux is working to expand her vegan and vegetarian offerings into other female-owned Baton Rouge eateries.

As 225 reports in its latest weekly e-newsletter, the restaurant began selling grab-and-go items at Counterspace BR’s newest location on Perkins Road, and recently announced that it will be setting up shop at Yoga Rouge within the next few weeks, selling some crowd favorites alongside new items.

“It really is all about women helping women,” Faucheux says. “We have a great rapport, and I was happy to help and offer my products. Hopefully people will run in to pick up a healthy salad and a cookie to treat themselves, and it will be a great partnership.”
