Baton Rouge Police budget with pay raises goes before Metro Council today

The Metro Council will be briefed later today on a proposed 2021 budget for the Baton Rouge Police Department that would reorganize certain BRPD divisions, eliminate a handful of positions through attrition and change the way some overtime pay is allocated—moves that would ultimately save $1.8 million to fund a 3% across-the-board pay raise for officers
