The Gilded Egret, a children’s retailer, has moved from its Christian Street store to a larger suite in the Acadian Village Shopping Center on Perkins Road.
More specifically, the store will move into the 1,800-square-foot space formerly occupied by Marcus, a women’s and children’s boutique that closed last year.
“We have outgrown our 1,200-square-foot cottage and are moving up!” The Gilded Egret announced in a Facebook post several weeks ago.
Since 2017, the baby and children’s clothing store had been operating out of a building on Christian Street near The Royal Standard. It moved into its new space over the weekend, according to its Facebook post.
The tenant marks the first new addition to Acadian Village in a while, though the Trader Joe’s-anchored center has seen some activity in recent months. For instance, Lululemon is preparing to move from its existing suite into the outparcel that formerly belonged to Provisions on Perkins, and, previously, Galatoire’s.
