LSU this morning announced a new partnership with education and upskilling platform Guild Education to provide online degrees and certificate programs to Guild’s employer partners, which include Chipotle, Target, Walmart and Waste Management.

Guild is used by companies to manage and administer their education benefits programs. Through Guild’s “Learning Marketplace,” employees can work toward credentials that are approved and subsidized by their employer.

Matt Lee, LSU interim executive vice president and provost, says the partnership with Guild will increase career pathways for working adults.

LSU specifically is a good addition to Guild’s platform because its online courses can train workers for high-demand fields, says Paul Freedman, president of Guild’s marketplace. See the announcement.
