International Paper, the Memphis-based pulp and paper company, is hosting a three-day hiring fair in Baton Rouge, Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.
The announcement comes just a week after Georgia Pacific said it will close its Port Hudson communications paper division March, costing some 700 workers their jobs. International Paper says it is looking for individuals with experience in engineering, maintenance and environmental health and safety.
International Paper is a global producer of renewable fiber-based packaging, pulp and paper products with 52,000 global employees.
