A developer wants to build a 509-bedroom multifamily complex on Bluebonnet Boulevard near its intersection with Burbank Drive, according to permits recently filed with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office.
Billy Ponko of TWG Development, an Indianapolis-based architecture firm, has applied for commercial plan review and commercial construction permits for four, four-story apartment buildings to go on the site, which would also include a pool, dog park, walking trail and exterior patio areas.
Each building would consist of two fire areas separated by firewalls, as well as rooms for amenities, mail and packaging and bike storage on the first floors. One of the buildings would include a leasing area, exercise room, community room and coworking area.
Per the permit application, Building A would span 107,308 square feet across its two areas, while Building B would span 83,300 square feet. Meanwhile, Buildings C and D would each total 87,704 square feet.
While it’s not immediately clear how many units the proposed complex would be, it’s estimated to have 509 bedrooms and 545 restrooms in total.
