Check out Leola’s Café and Coffee House for a workday brunch

Since it opened in January 2021, Leola’s Café and Coffee House has become one of Mid City’s go-to brunch spots, luring diners with a vibrant breakfast and brunch menu and generous patio dining.

Brunch has been so successful, in fact, that owners Corey and LeAnn Ringe say they recently decided to also serve it Wednesday through Friday, the weekdays the restaurant is currently open.

The full-service restaurant is located inside Circa 1857 in the spot once occupied by Yvette Marie’s.

A big seller is the Cado Toast, smashed fresh avocados on crisp, whole-grain toast, topped with sunny-side up eggs, heirloom tomatoes and balsamic vinegar reduction. It’s a cornerstone of a menu that also includes the BroRito, cheesy scrambled eggs and potatoes wrapped in a burrito with chipotle aioli and scallions, and the Fat Elvis, a grilled peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich drizzled with honey.

Leola’s has also made a name for itself with brunch boards that serve two to three with an assortment of carefully arranged breakfast foods, both sweet and savory. However, these must be pre-ordered online.
