Roughly half of the new LSU 100 list of the fastest growing Tiger-led businesses are headquartered in the Baton Rouge area. LSU released its 2015 list today, saying it also features 19 companies new to the LSU 100 and 14 who have been included every year since its inception in 2011.
While LSU has released the list of all companies on the list, the exact ranking of company growth is being kept confidential until an honoree luncheon set to take place on Oct. 23 at L’Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge.
The LSU 100 is a highly competitive program that identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest growing Tiger-owned or Tiger-led businesses in the world. Most of the companies on the list are located in Louisiana and adjoining states; however, some companies on the list are located in New York, Virginia and Tennessee, among others. A company from India is also included on this year’s list.
To be included on the list, companies must have been in business for five years or more, and must have verifiable revenues of at least $100,000 in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Also, the companies must have a former LSU student as owner of at least 50% of the company or as an active founder, or as chief executive officer, president or managing partner.
