Staying well-hydrated has a ton of benefits for your body, including better digestion, overall skin health, circulation and more—But drinking the right amount of fluids every day can seem like a daunting task. The Institute of Medicine recommends 2.7 liters (91 ounces) for women and 3.7 (125 ounces) liters for men, but that can vary for a lot of reasons, like how much you exercise, medications you take, and certain conditions. Once you’ve figured out what your personal fluid intake should be, try these hydration hacks to help you reach your goal:
- Eat your water. Foods like watermelon, cucumbers, strawberries, tomatoes, cantaloupe and celery contain 90% or more water content and that counts toward your intake goal.
- Try fruit infused water if the regular stuff is too bland or boring.
