Join Business Report in honoring the 2018 Top 100 Private Companies in the Capital Region at a luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center.
The keynote speaker will be LSU economist Loren Scott, who will once again unveil his annual economic trends forecast for Louisiana and the Baton Rouge metro area, delivered in a style of homespun humor known as “economic comedy.”
Scott is on the 50-member National Business Economic Issues Council, which meets quarterly to discuss issues of state, national and international interest. He is also a co-developer of the Louisiana econometric model used for providing annual forecasts of the Louisiana economy.
Doors open at 11:15 a.m., with the luncheon beginning at 11:45 a.m. Tickets are $55 per person, with tables of 10 available for $550. Get your tickets.
Included in the ticket price is admission to the Louisiana Business Symposium, which will take place from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the Top 100 luncheon.
The symposium will spotlight strategies for creating a positive workplace environment and solving “people problems” with a pair of seminars presented by the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management and led by Jennifer Ledet of Ledet Management Consulting.
The first session, “Amplify Your Influence to Accelerate Your Success,” will teach attendees to identify and leverage their existing strengths and create a positive workplace environment. It is scheduled for 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. The second session, “People Problems … Solved,” will focus on tearing down silos to improve teamwork, collaboration and mutual respect, with tips for enhancing employee engagement. It is scheduled for 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
EATEL Business, Fishman Haygood, Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge, WAFB-TV and Regions are sponsoring the event. Get details about all of Business Report’s annual events, including the Louisiana Business Symposium and Forty Under 40.
