Robert Daigle, the mixed-use developer who was behind the Village of River Ranch in Lafayette, has bought 201 acres near Zachary for $2.4 million for a new development called Templeton Ridge.
Daigle, co-founder of Southern Lifestyle Development, purchased the property through Templeton Ridge Development LLC from five members of the Bowden family.
The 200-acre development, approved by the Metro Council in April, will have more than 700 home lots and will be located near the intersection of U.S. 61 and La. 964, with entrances on both roads.
Developer Prescott Bailey has previously told Daily Report construction of infrastructure and roads would likely not begin until early next year, with construction of the homes to follow by the end of next year.
The community will be strictly residential, with a variety of sizes and price points for homes. They’re expected to start around 1,700 square feet and go up to to 3,000 square feet, Bailey says. The whole project will be built in multiple phases over the next eight years.
Sidney Robards Bowden, Emily Lagarde Bond Robert, Sidney Robards Bowden Jr., Jennifer Jean Bowden Feduccia, Charles Hewes Bowden and the Estate of Elizabeth Jane Bowden Bond are listed as the sellers, represented by Sidney Robards Bowden.
Southern Lifestyle Development has developed multiple neighborhoods in the area including Conway in Gonzales and the Settlement at Shoe Creek in Central.
