Education
David F. Senior was promoted to associate dean for advancement and strategic initiatives in LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He previously served as professor and department head of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Senior’s promotion is part of the school’s effort to increase private funding and enhance the school’s services.
Financial and Insurance
Shirley M. Croxton was named loan originator of the State Bank & Trust Company’s South Sherwood Forest location. Croxton has more than 14 years of experience in banking and has worked as an account executive, loan officer and a mortgage banker. She holds certification in life insurance management by the Life Office Management Association and was licensed as a loan originator.
Louis Fournet was appointed president of Stanford Trust Company, managing the company’s trust division services in Louisiana. Fournet was brought on board to oversee the company’s effort to expand its trust division. He previously served as head of trust services for Hancock Bank in Baton Rouge.
Adam Puckett and Sonya M. Burton joined Business First Bank. Puckett will serve as vice president and commercial lender. He previously was an assistant vice president and senior credit reviewer for Whitney National Bank. Burton will serve as an auditor. She previously was an examiner with National Credit Union Administration.
Chris Spencer joined JPMorgan’s Private Client Services group as vice president and private banker, serving clients in the greater Baton Rouge area. Spencer is the former senior regional communications manager for JPMorgan Chase.
Industry
Jon Gary and James Kennison were promoted to vice president at TOPCOR Services Inc. Gary will oversee the company’s coatings, linings and general operations division. Kennison will lead its restoration and cathodic protection services. The two have served as project managers at TOPCOR for 14 and 10 years, respectively, and both are graduates of LSU’s construction management program.
Science and Technology
Bruce Baughman, most recently the director of the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, joined IEM as senior emergency management consultant. Prior to his position in Alabama, Baughman held several positions at FEMA and directed response operations for more than 100 disasters, including the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and the 2001 terrorist attacks at the Pentagon and World Trade Center.
