Communications & Media

Chris Stelly has been named film and television director of Louisiana Economic Development’s Entertainment Industry Division. He has been with the division since 2004. Alex Schott has been named to the newly created position of interactive digital media director. Also within the division, the roles of Patrick Mulhearn, economic development officer, and Amber Havens, public information officer, will expand.

Dave Maher has bee named director of interactive technology at Zehnder Communications Inc. He has a decade of Internet marketing and application development experience and most recently spent seven years at the Graham Group Interactive. Also joining Zehnder are Rob Hudak as interactive creative director and Justin Bonura as creative director.

Financial & insurance

Jeff Joffrion has joined Benefit Advisory Group as an employee benefits broker. He has 11 years of experience in selling group benefits, and was previously an account executive with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. He will oversee development of the employees benefits division of Benefit Advisory Group.

Kay Frosch has been hired as branch manager and bank officer for the Brusly location of American Gateway Bank. Frosch has been in the banking industry for 30 years. She was most recently the operations manager at the State of Louisiana Department of Corrections Credit Union.

Connie Johnson has been named branch manager and bank officer for the Erwinville location of American Gateway Bank. Johnson has been with the company for 28 years and was most recently the assistant branch manager at that location.

Summer Brignac has been named branch manager and bank officer for the Gonzales location of American Gateway Bank. Brignac has more than eight years of experience in the industry and was most recently a branch manager and bank officer at Whitney National Bank in Baton Rouge.

Steve Lousteau has been named Baton Rouge city president by Capital One, and will retain role as south central manager. As city president, Lousteau will lead the market for Greater Baton Rouge. He has been with the company for more than 32 years and is responsible for retail functions in an eight-parish area.

Government

David T. White has been hired as Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation’s director of internal audit. White will be responsible for providing overall direction for the internal audit function at LWCC. He previously served as audit unit manager for General Reinsurance’s North America and Australia operations.

Joan Young has been named as the Baton Rouge Area Council’s senior project manager for East Baton Rouge Parish, a position created as part of a professional-services agreement with BRAC’s affiliate, the Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership. Young most recently served as executive director of the Haralson County (Ga.) Development Authority.

Health care

John Hatchett has been named manager of banking and investor relations support at Amedisys. Hatchett joined Amedisys in 1998 as a staff accountant. He will be responsible for cash management, debt management, bank relations, cash forecasting and investor-relations support.

John Cullen has been promoted to vice president of corporate development for Amedisys. Cullen joined the company in 2003 after serving as vice president of Legacy Capital, a New Orleans-based investment bank. He will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of due diligence per external growth efforts.

Jodi Conachen, public relations manager for Woman’s Hospital, has been named president-elect of the Louisiana Society for Hospital Public Relations and Marketing (LSHPRM) and will serve as president for the 2008-09 term. She has been with the society for five years and on its board for the past two years.

Lori Adams Denstel has been named the director of nursing administration at Woman’s Hospital. Denstel has worked at the hospital since 1997 in a variety of positions, including staff nurse in antepartal, clinical educator in perinatal services, nurse manager of labor and delivery and nurse manager of nursing informatics.

Donna Bodin has been named the vice president of employee services at Woman’s Hospital. She will be responsible for human resources, staff development, volunteer services and employee health. Bodin has worked in human resources at the hospital since 1995.

Burton LeBlanc, a founding member of LeBlanc & Waddell, has been named president of Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. He will serve a one-year term and succeeds local oncologist Dr. David Hanson. LeBlanc has been affiliated with Cancer Services for six years.

R. David Rabalais and Craig C. Greene have joined the Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic. Rabalais opened his clinic in Zachary; Greene will practice in Baton Rouge. James A. Lalonde and Kyle C. Girod have been elected as partners in the Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic.

Industry

Larry Utrera has become project manager and safety director for Block Construction. Utrera has worked in the Louisiana and Gulf Coast construction industry for more than 25 years, most recently serving as the Gulf Coast operations manager for Geofon.

Law

Eugene J. Radcliff, an attorney in the Baton Rouge office of Montgomery Barnett has been made a partner in the firm. Radcliff joined the firm in 2001 and practices mainly in business and corporate law, commercial law and intellectual property.

Nonprofit

The Public Affairs Research Council has elected new officers for its board of directors: David Eustis, senior vice president of Whitney Bank of New Orleans, chairman; Donna Saurage, Baton Rouge philanthropist, vice chairman; and Gordon Pugh, senior partner at Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, secretary.

John W. Barton Sr. has become a member of the board of advisors at Heritage Ranch. Tom Cook and Donna Schwab also have joined recently as members of the board of directors. Barton brings business and philanthropic experience, while Cook and Schwab have experience in real estate, legal and public relations.

Real estate

Tim Tullos has recently been appointed as qualifying broker for Keller Williams Red Stick Partners. Tullos has 25 years of experience as a practicing attorney and six years of real estate practice. He also has a broker’s license.

Retail & restaurants

Monique Hester has been named marketing director at The Mall at Cortana. Hester has nearly 20 years experience in retail and mall marketing and most recently served as marketing manager of Oakwood Shopping Center in Gretna. In her new role, she will be in charge of leading the retail center’s advertising, promotions and marketing efforts.

Science & technology

Madhu Beriwal, president and CEO of IEM, will serve on the Army Science Board, the U.S. Department of the Army’s senior scientific advisory board. The appointment is a one-year term. Previous ASB studies have focused on technology to support aerial combat and support to intelligence activities for urban warfare.
