EDUCATION

John V. Lombardi is the new LSU System president. Lombardi led the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for five years after serving as president of the University of Florida for nearly 10 years. He succeeds William L. Jenkins, who will assume the title president emeritus. Lombardi is expected to assume his duties as LSU System president in September.

FINANCIAL & INSURANCE

Steve Barbera is senior vice president and chief deposit officer for Britton & Koontz Capital Corporation. Barbera has 22 years of experience in Louisiana banking, most recently with Regions. He will be based at the Bluebonnet Boulevard location and brings expertise in treasury management and the sale of deposit services.

Teresa Breaux is president of IberiaBank’s mortgage banking operations in Louisiana and will be based in Baton Rouge. Breaux has more than 18 years of mortgage lending and banking experience. She previously served as senior vice president.

HEALTH CARE

Rowdy Gaudet is the business development manager for Regional Health Care Group. He will focus on internal and external business development, corporate strategy and growing the company. Gaudet completed the Flores MBA Program at LSU, having served as the president of his class. He was also the regional manager for U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu and public information officer for the city of Lake Charles.

INDUSTRY

Jeff Holeman is regional customer service manager in the Baton Rouge area for Entergy Louisiana. Holeman joined Entergy in 1995 as an account executive for industrial customers, and he has more than 12 years of customer service and sales experience. Holeman graduated from LSU with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering in 1983 and received his master’s in business administration from Warren National University in April.

Debbie Lowe is vice president of sales and marketing for LUBA Workers’ Comp. Lowe has been with the company for 17 years. She started as marketing assistant and then was promoted to assistant vice president before moving to her current position.

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

William Stark Jr. is the museum division director at Louisiana State Museum’s Capitol Park branch. Stark graduated from Michigan State University in 1998 with a bachelor’s in park, recreation and tourism resources and received his master’s in public administration from Lamar University in 2005. He comes from the McFaddin-Ward House in Beaumont, Texas, and the Museum of Surveying in Lansing, Mich.
