    • As of this morning, all major roadways are still frozen in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. The Mississippi River bridge on Interstate 10, and the Sunshine and Audubon bridges are all closed, and Interstate 12 West is shut down at Airline Highway. WBRZ-TV has additional road information.

    • More than 68,000 Entergy Louisiana customers were without power this morning, most of them in East Baton Rouge, Livingston, and St. Helena parishes. WAFB-TV says Entergy is hoping to restore power by this evening.  

    • As the company works to restore power to the Baton Rouge area, Entergy has started intentional power outages for customers across the southwestern part of the state to prevent a more extensive, prolonged power outage. KPLC-TV has the full story.

    • State authorities confirmed a weather-related death Monday after a 50-year-old Lafayette man died when he slipped on ice and struck his head on the ground, Louisiana Illuminator reports. The Lafayette Parish coroner ruled the death as weather-related, marking the first death from the winter storm that swept across Louisiana and a large swath of the Deep South.
