Urban League of Louisiana, Hancock Whitney launch entrepreneurial program

The Urban League of Louisiana, in partnership with Hancock Whitney, today announced it is accepting applications from Baton Rouge-based businesses for its Scale Up! Louisiana program for small businesses.

Scale Up! Louisiana is a statewide education-intensive program hosted by the Urban League of Louisiana’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The program aims to help early-stage small business owners create a scalable and profitable business.

This modular program will be all online via 10, two-and-a-half-hour web sessions, and participants will receive technical assistance and other support services throughout the program.

Up to 30 business owners from East Baton Rouge Parish will be selected for the fall 2020 cohort. Participants will be chosen based on their ability to meet eligibility requirements and the growth potential of their business.

Eligible entrepreneurs must have at least $40,000 in documented revenue from the previous tax year, have been in business for at least two years, have at least two employees (including the owner) and have a desire to scale or expand their business operations. Get more information here.
