The Staring Hill Shopping Center, at the intersection of Highland Road and Staring Lane, has been sold for $2.2 million.
Baton Rouge broker Mark Hebert, of Kurz & Hebert Commercial Real Estate, sold the center, next to Sammy’s Grill, to Michael and Miriam Giesler, of Prairieville. Hebert bought the property at the end of 2006, and says he originally had plans to redevelop the property but saw an opportunity to sell it instead.
The Gieslers paid for the deal with a $2 million mortgage as Highland Hill LLC, according to sales documents. It’s unclear if the Gieslers plan to redevelop the property.
Current tenants of the center, which sits on 2.5 acres, includes Anytime Fitness, Mary Lee Donuts, Johnny’s Pizza House and Subway.
