    Requirement push: Two professors are asking LSU’s Faculty Senate to call on the university to require its 34,000 students in Baton Rouge to receive COVID-19 vaccinations before returning to campus for in-person classes next fall, The Daily Advertiser reports.     New leadership: Baton Rouge-based Evans-Graves Engineers Inc. this week announced it has named Ashlyn Graves as president. Graves was selected following the January death of company owner John Graves, her father. “John has been a fixture in the south Louisiana engineering community for over 50 years, and he will be sorely missed,” the company says in a statement.  

    Touting teachers: Lamar Advertising Company today announced it will conduct a national digital billboard campaign to celebrate and recognize teachers in honor of this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3-7. The campaign, which will feature submitted photos of people’s favorite teachers, will run on two digital billboards in Baton Rouge. See the announcement.
