Roundup: Gubernatorial debate / New SLU program / GymFit’s new location  

    Final debate: The six television stations in Louisiana owned by Gray Television will produce and air the final debate in the Louisiana governor’s race on Oct. 9, at 7 p.m., the company announced. The hour-long debate will broadcast in Baton Rouge on WAFB-TV. The stations have extended a provisional invitation to participate to every candidate in the race.     Student recovery: Southeastern Louisiana University today announced the launch of the first collegiate recovery program in the state, called “Lion Up Recovery.” The program, designed for students in recovery from addiction, aims to help students achieve academic goals through on-campus support groups, academic advising and counseling, accountability and staff intervention if needed.     Sale: GymFit Adventure and Fitness has purchased the former Foxy’s Fitness Center on Rhoda Drive for just under $1 million and is in the process of renovating and updating the 48,800-square-foot property to open a new facility there, according to Troy Daigle with Donnie Jarreau Real Estate. Owner Joshua Roberts says he plans to update the interior and exterior of the property with significant renovations and will move his current gym to the new location once complete. The facility will feature programming ranging from Ninja Warrior class to acrobatics and will have and an outdoor stage for circus performances.
