Roundup: Chamber of Commerce / Emergent Method / LSU sales

    History maker: Louisiana native Maura Donahue has just completed her second term as board chair for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, serving previously in 2005-2006. She is the third person in the history of the U.S. Chamber to serve more than one term. Read the full announcement.  

    Top honors: Baton Rouge-based management consulting firm Emergent Method announced today that it ranks No. 7 on Consulting magazine’s list of fastest-growing consulting firms. This recognition marks the third consecutive year that the firm has been named among the top 15 fastest-growing firms in the world. The firm previously ranked seventh in 2019 and 11th in 2018.. 

    Sales award: LSU Professional Sales Institute senior Taylor Benoit has won the 2020 International Collegiate Sales Competition, making her the country’s top sales student. The victory marks a significant accomplishment for Benoit and the LSU PSI.  Benoit bested competitors from eighty-one schools to win the title.
