    Traffic: One lane of I-10 West is blocked past Butte La Rose on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge while state police work to remove a vehicle, WAFB-TV reports. Traffic is currently backed up for 6 miles. Drivers heading toward Lafayette from the Baton Rouge area are advised to use US 190 as an alternate route. Read more. 

    October jump: U.S. home prices surged again in October as the housing market continues to boom in the wake of last year’s coronavirus recession. The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller 20-city home price index, out this morning, climbed 18.4% in October from a year earlier. The gain marked a slight deceleration from a 19.1% year-over-year increase in September but was about in line with what economists had been expecting. Read the full story.
